With ‘Death Portraits ‘ I graduated from the St. Joost Academy in Breda. The series consists of seven large-format prints. I hooked on to the old tradition of the post-mortem photography, which has existed since the start of photography in 1839. In the meantime I like to play with tradition and with the viewer. In some cases, persons are posing as a ‘dormant ‘ dead . Who is involved is not clear. The illusion is undermined and put the viewer thinking.
